My stay at the Grand Antares Hotel in Medan was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. While the breakfast spread was impressive and the staff were polite and helpful, the overall condition of the hotel desperately needs some love and renovation. I found the room decent but a bit worn down.
The room I stayed in was spacious and had basic amenities, but the cleanliness could be better. The bathroom needs attention, especially the bathtub and shower curtain.
The staff were friendly and quick to help, which I appreciated, especially when they returned my items left behind after check-out.
The hotel's location is decent, situated on Sisingamangaraja Road, surrounded by restaurants and a supermarket, though it's not ideal for shopping.
Breakfast was a highlight with a wide variety of options, including tasty soto, which I really enjoyed. It stood out compared to other hotels I've visited in Medan.
The facilities like the lifts were sometimes problematic, and I wish there were more amenities available, like an indoor pool.

I had a comfortable stay at Grand Antares Hotel, where the friendly and helpful staff made a notable impression, especially Norma from the restaurant. The food was excellent with generous portions. However, the hotel's location wasn't very convenient for shopping, and some facilities showed signs of age. 🏨😌
The room was small and had old furniture. Although it was clean, the dated decor didn't impress me, and there were a few cleanliness issues like stained wallpaper.

The deluxe room I stayed in had all the basic necessities but was in need of a scrub. The bathroom left much to be desired, as the bathtub needed cleaning and the shower curtain was quite brownish at the bottom. Fortunately, the bedsheets appeared clean, which was a relief (clean sheets always make a stay better).
The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. They even helped me retrieve some items I left in the room after check-out, which I really appreciated.
